At the beginning of each session, I will explain the colour analysis system that is used. This is important, so you can understand how we find your wow colours!
During your personal colour analysis, you will sit in front of a mirror in daylight or full spectrum lighting. A neutral coloured cape will be placed around you to avoid any interference with your clothes.
Following a close look at your genetic personal colouring, the fun with the drapes begins! Professional drapes will be placed around your neck, and together we study the various effects these different colours have on your face and appearance. You will be surprised on the different effects you will see!
After your analysis, you will be provided with a colour swatch fan that includes your 35 best tones: your best neutral colours and fashion colours. These colours will also help with selecting the right tones for your jewellery and make-up. Of course, I will also show you how to use the colour fan, and provide guidance on how to wear your best colours.
And finally, if you brought some items of clothing with you that you wanted to check against ‘your’ colours, we can do this at the end of our session.
Modern colour analysis’ foundations were already laid in the 19th century when the painter and art teacher Johannes Itten linked specific colour palettes to the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
This idea was further developed by fashion designer Suzanne Caygill, who applied these 4 colour groups to fashion and make-up in 1980ies. Since then, Personal Colour Analysis has come a long way and modern colour analysis systems go way beyond the traditional 4 seasons!
I use a well-proven colour analysis system that you will learn more about during your consultation.
